he good folks at Artists Abroad will be raffling 3 paintings for charity during the Loreli Affordable Art Market this Sunday at Yue Space.
Artists Broad 的朋友们会在本周日在乐空间举行的 LORELI 买得起艺术市集 给大家分别赢得3幅画的抽奖机会。
There will be two works from Costa Rican artist, Juan Carlos Abarca, who is currently earning his Masters at the Central Academy of Fine Art.
其中两张来自Juan Carlos Abarca，一位来自哥斯达黎加的艺术家。他正在中央美术学院读硕士学位。
And a large mural measuring 1.5 x 4 metres created at the Not Just Another Art Party event held at Hot Cat earlier this month. The work was designed by a collection of CAFA associated artists and orchestrated by a team of experienced and enthusiastic volunteers during the party.

Jennie's Oven is a small home bakery that offers the people of Beijing rich, home-baked goods packed with flavor. She is excited to be joining the Loreli Affordable Art Market with some customer favorites -- including her signature brownies, pecan pie, and cheddar scones -- as well as a variety of cookies, cupcakes, and other sweet treats.

ANTLERS
The tiny purveyors can still be found at the same place in Fangjia hutong but, due to the reckoning of the brick monsters, are accessible through a secret door. Come check out their Taiwanese bao which The Beijinger likened to a cross between a taco and roujiamo. Taste the deliciousness and ask owner Tim about details of that secret door.

BELLY OF BEIJING BY RICKY REID
This film took 3 years to make and it came from one scene shot as test footage for a 24hr film competition in Macau.
Ricky Reid, the film’s creator, didn’t end up making it to Macau and instead decided to take the one test scene and built a film around it here in Beijing. There were three main cinematographers, Husain Amer, Nick Jewell, and Julien Rei, who provided the camerawork and technical insight. All the video editing was done by Ricky himself, who has been a freelance editor in Beijing for the last 4 years.
All the actors are a collection of artists, architects, teachers, tourists, and shopkeepers throughout the Gulou area who were willing to get in front of the camera, read the script, and have some fun.
这部电影花了3年的时间，而且来自于澳门一场24小时电影比赛的镜头。 影片的创作者 Ricky Reid 并没有在澳门取景，而是决定在北京搭建一个场景并拍摄。Husain Amer，Nick Jewell 和 Julien Rei，这三个主要的摄影师提供摄影师和技术见解。所有的视频编辑都是由 Ricky 本人完成，他过去4年来一直是北京的一位自由撰稿人。 所有的演员都是鼓楼地区的艺术家，建筑师，教师，游客和店主，他们愿意将自己呈现在相机前，研究剧本，并以此为乐。

The Guzzlers are a four piece band of sassy lads from disparate corners of the globe and led by frontman 李岩, formerly of the renowned 2011 Global Battle of the Bands winners Rustic. Featuring Joni Guzzler on drums, Mikey Guzzdog on bass and Gannon von Guzzle on violin, they have fast become regulars around the Beijing scene, known for their flamboyant shows, sometimes passionate use of the Cajon, and bittersweet sonic tales of love, loss and the trappings of sexual indulgence.
由原rustic乐队主唱李岩和两位海外的音乐家组成，四个人本来就是特别好的朋友，组成乐队以后配合也是非常的默契。小提琴手是来自澳大利亚的脱口秀演员安迪，鼓手是在德国政府上班的Jonathan。他们都很喜欢朋克音乐和喝啤酒，用自己的音乐方式与在场的所有观众进行交流，相信在他们的摇滚乐的律动下每个人都将度过一个美妙的夜晚
Nocturnes曳取 are an Indie-Electronic band based in Beijing, China. Their music has been described as “sultry”, “atmospheric” and “emotional”, and sits somewhere between the intensity of Foals, the electronic elements of Bonobo and the pop sensibilities of Coldplay.
The band was officially formed in late 2015 and in March 2016 they independently released their first EP, A World Full of Adults. A string of gigs in the Beijing area followed, culminating in their support of American Indie Rock band Surfer Blood at Yugong Yishan. Soon after, in October 2016, they signed to Chinese record label Cao Tai Music. They released their first EP with Cao Tai, Dust Into Glory, in April 2017, receiving positive reviews, with the EP being described as a “sensual concoction of impeccably groomed arrangements, fluid nuanced piano chords and a seamless blend of English and Chinese vocals that linger in the air.” Their first full-length album is due for release this October.

Su Zixu is a grassroots singer-songwriter, poet, and the vocals and guitarist of band, The Paramecia.
“If a voice comes from a place faraway, it is the sound of icebergs cracking. If that person pours his emotions with his guitar, it is because he prefers not to dissolve life’s rigidity with tears. Poetry does not stray far from the soul, music stays close to the body. The synergy of the rhythm of their breaths creates an exit, of which the left is resistance, and the right is reconciliation.”

“如果一把嗓子从很远的地方传来，那是冰山开裂的声音。如果那个人抱起吉他开始抒情，是因为不愿用泪水去缓解生活的生硬。诗歌离灵魂最近，音乐离身体最近，当二者呼吸的律动同步，会有一个出口，左侧是抵抗，右边是和解。”
2013年地下发行诗集《青年情怀的冰山一角》，同年组建The Paramecia乐队。
2015年1月2日参加原创音乐节目第二季中国好歌曲，参赛作品《没有你》，限时原创作品《融·解》。

The Harridans are a Beijing-based, five piece Art-Rock band led by Daniel Taylor. After releasing their debut album 'Fuzzing the Muse' last year, the group has gone on to play numerous gigs and festivals in China, including Midi and Zhangbei. Their music ranges from progressive rock freakouts to chilled out disco tunes, all covered in a psychedelic melancholy.
